Stressed out

How to stay on top of your work-load at school

School can be annoying, buts whats even more annoying? Having teachers find you because you have over-due homework (Actually me) So some ways that I find easy to stay on-top, is to try and do as much as you can at school- and I know that your friends can be a distraction- but trust me! Work as hard as you can! So another thing to do is use different coloured pens/ highlighters to get you to easier, you can underline what you need and stuff! So apparently if you spray an odd smell in the room, or chew gum when you are studying, and then do the same right before a test it will help (I have know clue if it actually works, but ya know) another thing is revise and write things down, I find that it’s easier to remember something if I’ve seen it on paper.

So that was kinda boring, but bare with! Tomorrow i’m going to try and do a baking one if I have time!

One was the Book Thief, the other stole the sky

hEy eVerYoNE, Its me again! So blog post number three! YAY! So I want to do a book report/ review thing, hopefully it will be brief, but I love this book so who knows! (The book is the book thief)

So the movie was also amazing and I 10/10 recommend both of them- The book is set in Nazi Germany, although it isn’t set in Berlin or any of the other big cities, its set in a tiny town called Munich, on a street called Himmel street (Himmel: Heaven in German) and it is narrated by Death, but its following around a girl called Liesel. This book is about

  • A girl
  • Some words
  • An accordionist
  • Some fanatical Germans
  • A jewish fist fighter
  • And quiet a lot of thievery

I actually love this book and cry every time I read this, the characters are very strong and you begin to love them. The Author, Marcus Zusak, Paints every word- they ebb and flow and they never stop, even when the book ends.

Sweater weather

So the weathers pretty bad at the moment- I woke up at 7 and it was as dark as if it was 9 o’clock at night! It makes it pretty hard to get physically out of bed in the morning, even though winter is one of my favourite seasons (Fashion wise- I love scarves and beanies so much!) There are some things that help me get through a cold winters day- a must have. So the first one is a really good cardigan, I have several, all in grey- they are in varying lengths, and made out of different materials, these are super easy to wear under jackets, or rain coats- and they keep you warm enough. Another thing that you will need if you want to survive in the rain is, well, a rain coat! I have a yellow “Rains” raincoat- which is very easy to pack into small places, so its good if you need to put it in your school bag. ¬† A warm scarf, and/or beanie is also great, they are really nice and they keep your neck and head toasty! I think that another essential you should get are plan black opaque leggings- they are super basic to have but you can pretty much style them with everything! If you are into fitness, or you fitness levels drop over the winter, getting some long Nike/Adidas sports leggings are great as well, I’m wearing mine now, and you can also wear them around the house!

Things I also think that you need aren’t stuff you wear, but stuff that just helps me cope with being cold. So the first thing is getting lots of blankets! I have an electric blanket that goes on top of the mattress of my bed, and they keep you really warm, if you want a cheaper option, hot water bottle are seriously easy and they keep you just as warm as anything. Now I don’t know about you, but I LOVE tea, and I have several favorite teas that I love to drink when I get home, when I’m watching a movie, and when I’m reading a book, these include peppermint tea, liquorice tea (It’s black licorice, so you might not even like it, my mum doesn’t like it at all), another one I love is Peach and green tea, not only does it taste amazing, green tea has amazing health benefits. Something else I love about this particular tea is that you can use it with cold water as well, so on hot days it great as well, and I love just plan black tea (with cold water and two sugars). Thats only some of the teas I love- I could probably do a whole blog post on tea! Another thing that is good, but more of a luxury are bath bombs & candles, I can recommend lush, mainly because their bath bombs are so amazing, and also they are very well made- they don’t test on animals, which is something that we should be support!

So thats that, thanks for reading

Blog Post #01

Hi everyone, so if you’re reading this, I guess you’ve found my blog- an insight to the boring daily life of me. Naomi Grace. This is the first blog post ever, and I still am getting use to WordPress- which is actually kinda confusing, well, I mean that I can’t even use Facebook without worrying that I’ve accidentally done something wrong! I guess on this blog I’m going to post photos, talk about stuff that comes up, show you recipes, movies and things that are important to me- as well as putting in links that I have found interesting! Once a week I will put up a book title of a good book that I’ve read- hopefully it will have something to do with something else that I’ve posted, but it might just be a really good book!

So that’s me, and that’s what I’m about- I’d appreciate¬†it as well if you left comments about your blogs, ways that I could improve mine, or things that I should check out. It would also be great if you were censored about what you comment (if you even read my blog)- because I’m a person as well!
